Video Cutter v1.0.0

Video & audio video-cutter 2 actions MCP

Cut a single clip out of a video by start/end time or duration, or split a whole video into equal-length pieces - stream-copied for speed, with an optional frame-accurate re-encode.

The omniscient:// link needs a protocol handler on your machine, which is not built yet. Until then it does nothing — use the commands below.

Cut a clip

cut

Extract one clip from a video between a start time and an end time (or a duration). Stream-copies for an instant, lossless cut when possible; falls back to re-encoding if the container can't be copy-trimmed, or always re-encodes when 'precise' is set for a frame-accurate edge.

Inputs

NameTypeRequired / defaultValues and notes
video path required
start string optional, default 0
end string optional, default ""
duration string optional, default ""
precise bool optional, default false
out path optional, default ""

Outputs

NameTypeNotes
file path

Split into equal clips

split_intervals

Split a video into consecutive clips of a fixed length, written to an output folder. Stream-copies for speed by default; 'precise' re-encodes so every clip starts exactly on the interval boundary instead of the nearest keyframe.

Inputs

NameTypeRequired / defaultValues and notes
video path required
interval_seconds float optional, default 60
out_dir path optional, default ""
precise bool optional, default false

Outputs

NameTypeNotes
count int
out_dir path
files path[]

Use it

Cut a clip

Command line

shell
python app.py --action cut --params '{"video": "D:/path/to/video"}'

Run from the app’s own folder. Single quotes work in bash and PowerShell; in cmd.exe use double quotes and escape the inner ones.
